Mika J. Cross is a Federal workplace policy strategist specializing in work/life balance, diversity, inclusion and employee engagement. Her expertise includes navigating culture change, program management, policy guidance and oversight for critical workplace initiatives that affect employee engagement, increase management effectiveness and mission efficacy. She was instrumental in shaping workforce communications in support of the Department of Agriculture's Cultural Transformation initiatives, resulting in numerous industry awards and a placement on the Forbes 500 Best American Workplace rankings. While at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) she led the development of the Employee Engagement Community of Practice on UnlockingTalent.gov, a government-wide interactive dashboard implemented as a component of the President's Management Agenda, People and Culture objective.

Mika's leadership in organizational workplace strategies within the Federal government is widely recognized across both public and private industry and she is highly sought after as a seasoned public speaker, instructor and motivational speaker for any level of audience. She is multiple award winner for her Public Service contributions to the workplace.

Her keen abilities to develop effective and creative communications, marketing and outreach strategy coupled with a unerring talent for strategic vision make her highly sought after to lead complex, inter-Agency knowledge management projects and collaborative working groups. Following the tragedies of 9/11, she was instrumental in developing workplace policy, doctrine and protocol within the Intelligence Community for deploying a primarily civilian workforce into Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the War on Terror and for the reintegration procedures for acclimating them back upon return- including the development of a family support infrastructure.

Mika served with the U.S. Army as an enlisted soldier and commissioned officer.
